Tonight at dinner Erin and Teddy were whispering together at the table while Ted and I were making the plates. I kept asking what they were whispering about but they refused to say and kept looking at each other and whispering.
We all sat down to eat. Erin asked me to say grace (it's become routine since they started Catholic School). I was suspicious because Erin always wants to be the one to say grace. I decided to play along... I said "Father, Son, Holy Spirit" and right then they both lifted their shirts so high we could see their nipples. This might be one of those times when you just need to be there to appreciate the humor. Both Rachel and I almost fell out of our chairs from laughing so hard. I *really* tried no to laugh. To be honest, I couldn't help it - it really was funny.
I was also amazed at how well they synchronized it. Their shirts went up at the exact same moment. They had to have planned that. Plus, it really was a good gag. I was actually proud of them for coming up with it.
I did immediately compose myself. Ted did very well keeping himself from laughing but he was smiling the whole time he was disciplining them (which I wasn't helping him do by laughing). I finally told them that although it was funny, behavior like that would not be allowed any more and would incur a big punishment if they try it again... Let's see if they listen.
Hmm. Did they get the idea from the super bowl?

hahaha That's a good one. Luckily, they didn't see the halftime show. :)
